Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our Year 2 team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development. You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support and ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
• Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Support students with special educational needs (SEN) by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support a collaborative learning community.
• Assist with classroom management and the organization of learning materials and resources.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is desirable.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
• The ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
