Level 3 Nursery Practitioner | Harrow | Immediate Start

Nursery Practitioner Summary:

  • Work hours : 07.30 – 16.30 or 09.30 – 18.30
  • Salary from 18,000 – 24,000 per annum
  • Around 100 young children
  • CACHE Level 2/3 qualified required
  • Previous experience working with young children

A nursery in Harrow on the Hill require a Nursery Practitioner to join them immediately. The ideal candidates must be qualified to a minimum of level 3 in Childcare with some experience working with young children.

Nursery Practitioner General Duties:

  • To complete assignments on time
  • To attend team meetings and imputing ideas
  • Under supervision, provide all aspects of care for children including washing, changing and feeding
  • To assist with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children
  • To provide adult interaction with children in the nursery
  • To be aware of the nurseries confidentiality policy

You will be required to carry out daily activities with children in line with the EYFS. Planning weekly lessons or activities according to the children’s age. You will be required carry out daily observations, termly assessments, making records and files.

General Nursery Practitioner Duties:

  • Contribute to good standards of hygiene and cleanliness in Nursery
  • To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature, as may be determined by the trainee’s supervisor from time to time
  • The trainee’s duties must at all times be carried out in compliance with the nursery’s Equal Opportunities policy
  • Look upon the nursery as a “whole” where can you help be most utilised, be constantly aware of the needs of children
  • To respect the confidentiality of information received
  • To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds, and stages of development
  • To be aware of the high profile of the nursery and to uphold its standards at all times

The candidate will be required to attend meetings with parents / guardians and health visitors. The ideal candidate will also be required to carry out children’s hygiene duties, preparing snack duties, general cleaning, setting up the class activities at the beginning of morning and afternoon sessions and outdoor duties.
