Primary School Teaching Assistant – Sheffield, South Yorkshire

£89 – £100 per day (dependent on experience) | Full-time, Term-time only | Start Date: September 2025

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming primary school in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children’s learning and development in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
• Work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils to support learning, including those with additional needs
• Assist with classroom management and organisation
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment
• Help prepare and organise teaching materials and resources
• Support the social and emotional well-being of pupils

Requirements:

• Experience working with children, ideally within a school or educational setting
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3) is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A caring, patient, and proactive attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
