A warm and welcoming school in South Norwood is looking for a compassionate Reception SEN Teaching Assistant to help young learners thrive.

The Role:
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Early Years team to create an inclusive learning environment for pupils with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small-group support for Reception pupils with SEN, such as developmental delays or autism.
• Assist in delivering play-based and sensory learning activities tailored to individual needs.
• Use communication aids, such as PECs and Makaton, to support pupils’ interaction and understanding.
• Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to create and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Foster a nurturing and positive environment where all children feel valued.

About You:

• Experience working with young children in an Early Years or SEN setting.
• Understanding of early intervention approaches and sensory play strategies.
• A patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic approach to childcare.
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
