A dynamic and inclusive primary school in Purley is seeking a dedicated Year 5 SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs.

The Role:
As a Year 5 SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll focus on fostering academic progress, confidence, and emotional well-being for children with SEN.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to Year 5 pupils with SEN, including dyslexia and social communication difficulties.
• Assist the class teacher in modifying lesson plans and activities for individual learners.
• Deliver one-on-one and small-group interventions to promote academic and social progress.
• Collaborate with the SENCO to monitor pupil progress and adapt support strategies.
• Help pupils build resilience and independence in preparation for their transition to Year 6.

About You:

• Experience working with SEN pupils in Key Stage 2.
• Familiarity with effective strategies for supporting literacy and communication challenges.
• Patient, proactive, and committed to providing inclusive education.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
