Ortus Recruitment are working with a fantastic mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames, who are recruiting for an outstanding SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive SEN team. This role would be ideal for an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant or Graduate with a passion for SEMH.

If you have experience around children with SEMH or a relevant degree, this SEMH Teaching Assistant role could be the role for you!

The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will promote the inclusion and acceptance. The role involves encouraging independence and working on strategies to recognise and overcome barriers to learning, while implementing positive behaviour strategies and rewarding their successful use. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the pupil inside and outside the classroom during the school day, supporting academically, socially and emotionally.

SEMH Teaching Assistant Role Requirements:

• Relevant Degree.
• SEMH experience.
• Clear communication.
• Resilient, reliable and flexible.
• Confident across the primary curriculum.
• A positive role model.

SEMH Teaching Assistant role details:

• Monday-Friday, 8:30-16:00 – Full Time
• £375-£450 per week, paid weekly on a PAYE basis (No hidden Umbrella company fees)
• Mainstream Primary in Richmond
• ASAP Start
