We are currently recruiting for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join as SEN Classroom Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with experience in learning support and a strong interest in helping children with additional educational needs thrive.

Role Overview:

• Deliver tailored physical and communication support to meet each student’s individual needs
• Help pupils engage with the curriculum and school activities, both inside and outside the classroom
• Work closely with teachers and the school’s SENCO to implement effective support strategies
• Assist in planning and delivering adapted learning experiences for students with SEN
• Promote positive cognitive and emotional development by addressing learning barriers
• Provide personal care support where necessary, including assistance with feeding and hygiene
• Take part in the development and review of individual education plans and contribute during review meetings
• Accurately monitor, track, and report on pupil progress in line with school procedures

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting children with learning difficulties such as autism or ADHD
• Background working in an educational or care setting, particularly with young people
• Comfortable providing personal care, including peg feeding, changing, and toileting for pupils with higher needs
• Available for an interview at short notice
• Valid Right to Work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS (Adult/Child Workforce) on the update service
