Do you have experience working with children with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD)?
A specialist primary school in Croydon is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 (KS2) students with PMLD, providing essential care and tailored learning support.

The Role:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with complex medical and learning needs.
• Assist with personal care, feeding, and mobility (hoisting training desirable but not essential).
• Use sensory-based activities and alternative communication methods (e.g., eye gaze, switch devices).
• Work alongside therapists and SEN staff to deliver a personalised learning plan.
• Create a positive and nurturing environment where all students feel valued.

About You:

• Experience working with children with PMLD or complex medical needs is desirable.
• Understanding of alternative communication methods such as Makaton or PECS.
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach to SEN support.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow individual support plans.
