A welcoming primary school in Norbury is seeking a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with speech and language difficulties. The role will involve working closely with the school’s Speech and Language Therapist to deliver tailored interventions.

The Role:

• Provide targeted one-to-one support for a Year 2 pupil with speech and language needs
• Deliver speech therapy exercises and communication strategies
• Encourage verbal communication, vocabulary development, and social interaction
• Support learning in class by adapting materials and instructions
• Work collaboratively with the SENCO and external specialists

About You:

• Experience supporting children with speech and language needs
• Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or similar approaches is an advantage
• Patient, encouraging, and enthusiastic
• Able to follow specialist guidance and adapt support
