We are currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support in our client primary school in Barnet.

We are currently working alongside a lovely, mainstream primary school located in the heart of Brent. You will take on the role of SEN Teaching Assistant, in which you will provide 1:1 support to pupils with Special Educational Needs such as ASD and SLCN.

Role Responsibilities:

• Utilise your experience working with children to provide individualised support
• Assist in implementing educational activities tailored to each child’s needs
• Support the class teacher in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
• Communicate effectively with both students and teaching staff
• Aid in the social, emotional and academic development of pupils
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies when needed
• Support pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

Required Skills:

• Demonstrable experience working with children, particularly those with SEN
• Knowledge of SEN interventions and strategies
• Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with children
