Ortus Recruitment are currently working with a mainstream primary school in Richmond who are looking to hire a proactive, reliable and hardworking Teaching Assistants to support within their walm and welcoming school, based in Richmond.

Our partner school currently have a two vacancies, one in KS1 and another in KS2, there’s also the option to begin immediately or to start in September. We are looking for some to support on a fulltime basis (Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 16:00), and who can make a commit to a position for at least 1 team.

As a Teaching Assistant here, you will be expected to provide support for pupils across the class, in small groups an on a 1:1 basis, your primary focus will be with pupils who have additional needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning, and giving them the tools they need the thrive socially and emotionally.

For this Teaching Assistant position we require a candidate who:

• Has an excellent academic background – preferably educated to a degree level.
• Is confident across the primary curriculum.
• Has Excellent communication skills/relationship building.
• Is reliable, proactive and flexible.
• Has experience/knowledge of supporting children and SEN.
