SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School – September Start

We are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Brent starting September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

**This role would be working on a 1:1 basis with a Year 4 child with severe SEN needs. This role would also involve personal care**

Location: Brent, London
Job Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: £95 – £105 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech & language needs)
• Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Monitor and record student progress and contribute to reviews and planning
• Support with personal care (where applicable)

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)
• A calm, patient, and positive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong understanding of safeguarding practices
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
