We have a very exciting SEN Teaching Assistant role for someone who is motivated, caring, and career driven. This self-fulfilling role gives people an opportunity to showcase their skills in 1:1 teaching with students that have special needs such as Autism, ADHD, language difficulties, and behaviour problems.

This opportunity would suit anyone passionate about working in education. If you are also interested in supporting SEN children, mainly those with Autism and Speech and Language needs, then this role will be well suited to you. The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support 1:1 with an Autistic child in a Year 4 class. The senior leadership at the school are supportive and friendly, and have worked to build a welcoming atmosphere where learners and staff feel enabled to grow and develop.

Duties include:

• Supporting the teacher with the delivery of the lesson.
• Preparing the classroom for lessons, such as setting up equipment.
• Managing behaviour and engaging students with their own learning.
• Working with students either one-to-one or in small groups out of the classroom.
• Committed to supporting both the teacher and the students to succeed.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 16:30
