Ortus Recruitment is currently working alongside a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Clapham that is seeking committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team on a full-time basis. SEN Teaching Assistant – The Role

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday
• Immediate start available
• Long-term opportunity within a supportive primary school
• Daily pay: £93 – £113 PAYE
• Based in Clapham
• Supporting children across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 with a variety of SEN needs

Key Responsibilities

• Providing dedicated support for pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, and behavioural difficulties
• Delivering 1:1 support and small group interventions tailored to individual learning needs
• Assisting the Class Teacher and SENCO with classroom support strategies
• Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour
• Supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and social development
• Adapting learning activities to suit different abilities and learning styles
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN
• Be patient, caring, and adaptable in their approach
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
• Be confident building positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
