SEN Teaching Assistant
Ortus Recruitment is looking to recruit a resilient, proactive and patient SEN Teaching Assistant who has experience working with various Special Educational Needs.
The Primary School is a 2-form entry, Ofsted rated ‘good’ school in Iver, Buckinghamshire. They pride themselves on providing a safe, secure and positive enviroment for the children to thrive. They promote inclusivity and believe every child should be able to fully access the curriculum regardless of background or ability.
The role would involve supporting amongst KS2 as a SEN Teaching Assistant to aid with the acedemic, emotional and social development of SEN children.
**Candidates must be able to commit to a long-term and full-time role (Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm)**
The ideal candidate will:
- Have 3+ months experience supporting children with SEN
- Have the ability to build positive and reliable rapports with pupils and staff
- Have a can-do attitude and firm but fair approach to teaching
- Hold a level 3 qualification or a degree in a relevant subject e.g. psychology or education
- Be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
