Teaching Assistant Job Details:

• SEN Teaching Assistant position
• Immediate Start
• Long-term and full-time (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm)
• Daily rate of £80 – £95 per day
• Located in Hayes, Hillingdon
• Potential for career progression and teacher training in partnership with the school

Ortus Recruitment are excited to present the opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant to join the team in a diverse SEN primary school in Hayes, to support on a 1:1 basis with a child with additional needs.

This is an amazing opportunity to be at the fore-front of children’s learning and development while being consistently aided and encouraged by the Senior Leadership Team and fellow staff members, with the potential to progress on to a Teacher Training programme if deemed an ideal candidate.

Individuals with any of the following experience is ideal:

• Behaviour mentor
• Sports Coach
• Learning Support Assistant
• Youth Worker
• SEMH/EBD experience
• SEN

The successful individual will:

• Be assertive, patient and motivating
• Manage behaviour effectively
• Promote positive social, emotional and personal development
• Have experience working with children with SEN
• Have a strong academic background – Level 3 qualified or Degree educated
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills

Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
