Salary: £95 – £105 per day (depending on experience)

We are seeking to hire an experienced Teaching Assistant specifically to work with pupils who have special educational needs within a Mainstream Primary School.

We are looking for individuals with exceptional personal qualities and skills. In this role, you will support the class teacher, assist with pupils’ learning, and uphold the schools ethos.

• £85 – £105 per day (depending on experience)

Person Specification – SEN Teaching Assistant

• Experience working with and caring for children with special educational needs within a school setting.

• Experience working with children with limited verbal skills.

• Ability to work independently with support from teachers, delivering a personalized curriculum and asking questions when necessary.

• Proficiency in delivering interventions to support skills.

• High expectations for student learning, achievement, and behaviour.

• Enthusiasm and dedication to developing innovative approaches to learning, teaching, mentoring, and guidance.

• Commitment to promoting and fostering positive relationships among children, parents, and colleagues.

• Ability to deescalate dysregulated children and understanding of positive behaviour management.

• Knowledge of the SEND code of practice.
