SEN Teaching Assistant – EYFS Provision (Islington)

- Pay: £95–£105 per day
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm

Ortus Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) SEN provision in a welcoming primary school in Islington. We have worked closely with this school for over 7 years, and they remain one of our strongest and most supportive partner schools.
This is a long-term role within a specialist environment supporting a group of 10 children with a wide range of needs. You will be working closely with 2 teachers and 4 experienced teaching assistants, offering both 1:1 support and small-group interventions.
About the Role:
This is a challenging yet highly rewarding position within the school’s dedicated SEN provision. Children in the setting may present with a variety of needs, including:
- Autism
- ADHD
- Non-verbal communication
- Dyslexia
- SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
- Challenging behaviour
- Other complex SEN profiles
You will be responsible for supporting children emotionally, academically, and behaviourally while helping create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment.

Requirements:

- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
