Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school located in the Kingston borough and they are seeking a motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children 1:1 and in small group settings, supporting them in their academic studies.

The role:

• Position : SEN Teaching Assistant
• Location : Kingston
• Full time – long term
• Immediate start
• 8:30am-4:00pm (hour lunch break )

The main responsibilities within this role would include working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils across Year 3- Year 6 to help them with subject specific interventions. You will be required to take students into a smaller space (library or 1:1 room) where you can focus solely on helping raise their attainment. You will also be required to undertake general TA duties such as supporting classes and doing administrative tasks such as marking work or photocopying/laminating work sheets.

The ideal candidate will need to have a passion for working alongside children and be dedicated to giving them the best possible start to life. Resiliency and patience will also be required in this role, it is extremely rewarding but could also be challenging. We need a highly motivated candidate in order to succeed in this role.
