ORTUS RECRUITMENT are working alongside a Mainstream Primary School located in Southwark, Peckham Rye.

This is an ideal opportunity to begin a career in education. The role is a full time, long term position, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:00. This role requires hands on experience working with SEN learners, ideally ASD but relative experience is welcome.  

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will play a key part in helping to raise attainment in core subjects (English, Math, Science). You will be required to work 1:1 and in small groups with SEN learners to ensure they have extra support and all the tools needed to reach their academic potential. You will be required to work alongside the teacher to prepare differentiated work that suits the learners needs as well as leading small subject specific interventions to a range of SEN learners across the school.

This role pays between £80 – £100 per day, PAYE. Ortus Recruitment doesn’t use Umbrella Companies and are able to ensure there will be no hidden fees or umbrella company costs deducted from your weekly pay.

• Strong academic background with a degree from a reputable university and good level of Maths and English
• Proactive, confident, and flexible attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a large team
