SEN Teaching Assistant – Sutton

Ortus Recruitment are currently working with a mainstream Primary School in Sutton who are currently seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant.

This vibrant Primary School has an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to work within their year 4 class to support a pupil with Autism.

Your role day to day will include:

• Supporting the Teacher plan and deliver lessons
• Take identified pupils outside of the classroom to ensure they are understanding their work
• Keep progress reports on pupils and relay them back to the Teacher and SLT daily
• Assist with admin tasks
• Help cover break times and wet play

The friendly Headteacher is seeking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children of the primary age range or within a classroom setting
• Someone who is dedicated to a full-time, long-term role
• Clear written and spoken communicator
• Excellent academic background
• Has a fully enhanced DBS on the Update Service
