Job Summary:

• Pay: £85  – £95 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Role: Full time, Long term, Monday – Friday (08:30 – 16:00)

Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant who is looking for an exciting new role within education. This is a full time, long term role throughout the academic year, with the opportunity of being given a permanent contract by the school. The school is Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ and the ideal candidate will be someone who will be eager to learn new skills via CPD Courses and Teacher Training opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
• TWO obtainable childcare relevant references
• A minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Math

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have experience working alongside children ideally in a school setting but transferrable experience such as coaching, nannying and/or tutoring
• The ideal candidate will have a ‘Can do’ attitude
• The ideal candidate will be passionate about working alongside children and dedicated to aiding their development
• The ideal candidate will be able to easily build a positive rapport with both staff and students

The role will consist of supporting a year 5 class in the classroom and around the school. You will be working closely with the class teacher to prepare and set out activities for the pupils as well as supporting them with completing it. You will be required to do some administrative duties such as handing out and marking homework, spelling tests and work, as well as photocopying and laminating.
