Ortus Recruitment are currently looking for someone with previous experience with working with children or with those who require extra support to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school in Sutton.

The school want an individual who is resilient, hardworking and can build strong relationships with those around them. The role will involve a lot of 1:1 with SEN students helping them during lessons to ensure they are learning and understanding everything. You will also implement strategies to help them with any difficulties they may face inside and outside of the school.

Other responsibilities for this role also include monitoring the students you interact with closely by tracking their progress and giving feedback to the school’s SENCO highlighting any issues. You will also have to work closely with the class teacher helping them provide interactive educational lessons for the students.

Role requirements:

– A fully enhanced child DBS on the update service

– Can provide two references

– Available to work full time

– Strong knowledge of KS2 curriculum

The successful applicant will be joining an Ofsted graded “good” school which offers a range of facilities and activities for staff and students to use. The school is run by a great SLT and all the staff are very helpful and welcoming.
