Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school in Twickenham and they are seeking a motivated SEN Teaching Assistant ready to commit to a full time long term role, making a positive impact in primary education. The school is located in a convenient area due to its easy access to public transport and short walk to food shops.

The role :

• Position : SEN Teaching Assistant
• Location : Twickenham
• Full time – long term
• Immediate start
• 8:30am-4:00pm (hour lunch break )
• PAYE £80-£90

Within this role you will be responsible for supporting on a 1:1 basis, with a chid who has SEMH, implementing strategies to ensure barriers are being overcome and positive emotional, social and academic development is being enabled.

The successful candidate will have :

• Be assertive, patient and motivating
• Manage behaviour effectively
• Promote positive social, emotional and personal development
• Have experience working with children with SEN
• Have a strong academic background – Level 3 qualified or Degree educated
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
