Ortus Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in the Wandsworth Borough, starting in September. This full-time position focuses on supporting a dedicated SEN group, working closely with pupils with special educational needs and challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting multiple children across KS1 and KS2 with diagnosed ASD and other SEN needs.
• Providing 1:1 support across the whole curriculum.
• Assessing student progress and collaborating with Teachers, Parents/Carers, and external agencies when necessary.
• Participating in CPD activities, for which you will receive accreditation.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an LSA/SEN Teaching Assistant.
• Holding a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Experience working with children with SEN in an educational, pastoral, or personal setting is highly desirable.
• Must have or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
