A mainstream, Ofsted-rated ‘good’ Primary school is looking for a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to work in Upper KS2 – who is encouraging, assertive and reliable. The school is situated in the vibrant London borough of Camden surrounded by shops, restaurants and easily accessible transportation links.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in KS2 as well as knowledge of the KS2 curriculum to effectively engage children in lessons and interventions in order to raise attainment. The role will also involve working on a 1:1 basis with a child who has Speech and Language needs.

Teaching Assistant Expectations:

• 3-6 months classroom experience
• 3+ months SEN experience
• Minimum 2:2 grade in relevant degree e.g. psychology or educational studies or a Cache Level qualification
• Strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills
• Knowledge of KS2 curriculum
• Be proactive and have a can-do attitude
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references

Teaching Assistant Job Details:

• Immediate Start
• Long-term and full-time
• Daily rate of £70 – £85 per day
