Have you had experience working with children who have speech and language difficulties ?

A school located in Richmond are seeking an enthusiastic teaching assistant with experience working

with children with speech and language difficulties.

If you apply for this role you will be working closely with a student from a year 3 class who has difficulty with their speech and language. You will be working one to one with this student within the classroom and out of the classroom, supporting them with their reading and writing skill. You will need the ability to make learning interesting so the student stays engaged throughout the course of the day, giving them a higher chance of progressing in their academic studies. Another part of your role will include supporting the student at break and lunch times, encouraging them to interact with their peers, to help build up their self-esteem. Furthermore, you will be highlighting areas where the student needs to improve and keeping record of their progress.
