The Job Summary:

· Pay: £80 – £90 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees

· Role: Full time, Long term, Monday – Friday (08:30 – 16:00)

We have a fantastic opportunity here at Ortus Recruitment, for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join one of our thriving Mainstream Primary Schools on a full time, long term basis starting September 2023 and will be ongoing throughout the academic year. The school is located in the London Borough of Lewisham, Blackheath.

Must have:

An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process a new one through Ortus Recruitment – £52

Two obtainable childcare relevant references

The main responsibilities:

· You will be required to work alongside the Class Teacher and support a year 4 class as a General Teaching Assistant

· You will need to assist the Class Teacher in preparing, setting up and handing out tasks and activities to the students

· You may be required to undertake administrative duties such as laminating/photocopying worksheets as well as updating and/or removing class display boards

· You will need to help the teacher mark classwork/homework as well as signing reading diaries and providing feedback for parents

We are looking for someone who:

· Has school based experience supporting pupils in a classroom setting

· Has a ‘Can do’ attitude

· Is passionate about working alongside children and dedicated to helping develop their academic attainment levels

· Is able to commit to full time, long term work with a September start
