Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school in Colliers Wood and they are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to commit to a full time-long term role. To apply for this role you must have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment (£52).

Responsibilities:

• Providing support to the class teacher working as a general teaching assistant
• Assisting with the planning and preparation of lessons and classroom resources
• Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Following and implementing behaviour strategies to encourage a positive attitude to learning

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant school setting
• A genuine  passion for working with children and supporting their educational needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive rapports with both staff and students
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask

Must have:

• A clear enhanced child workforce on DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment £52.
• A minimum of two obtainable childcare relevant references, ideally school based but no essential
• A minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Maths
