Key Responsibilities

• Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons, providing support to individual students or small groups as needed.
• Student Development: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting the academic and personal growth of all students.
• Resource Preparation: Help prepare and organize teaching materials and resources, ensuring the classroom is well-equipped for learning activities.
• Behaviour Management: Assist in maintaining a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere, supporting the teacher in managing behaviour and implementing school policies.
• Administrative Duties: Perform various administrative tasks, such as record-keeping, monitoring student progress, and communicating with parents and caregivers.
• Extracurricular Activities: Participate in and support school events, trips, and extracurricular activities, contributing to the broader school community.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Minimum of GCSEs, including English and Maths. A relevant qualification in Education or Childcare is preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Attributes: Proactive, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team. A commitment to the welfare and safeguarding of students is essential.
