Key Responsibilities
- Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons, providing support to individual students or small groups as needed.
- Student Development: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting the academic and personal growth of all students.
- Resource Preparation: Help prepare and organize teaching materials and resources, ensuring the classroom is well-equipped for learning activities.
- Behaviour Management: Support the teacher in maintaining a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere, helping manage behaviour and implement school policies.
- Administrative Duties: Perform various administrative tasks, such as record-keeping, monitoring student progress, and communicating with parents and caregivers.
- Extracurricular Activities: Participate in and support school events, trips, and extracurricular activities, contributing to the broader school community.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Minimum of GCSEs, including English and Maths. A relevant qualification in Education or Childcare is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Attributes: Proactive, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team. A commitment to the welfare and safeguarding of students is essential.
