The right Teaching Assistant will know how to motivate and inspire children to learn and understand how to use formative and summative assessment to support pupil learning. You will have a genuine belief that all children have the potential for success. You will understand how to effectively support children to make rapid and sustained progress and will be committed to making this happen.

The right candidate will:

· Be calm under pressure, adaptable and enthusiastic

· Be compassionate, have a positive attitude and encouraging

· Have a good listening ability and to be sensitive to pupils’ individual needs

· Promote positive learning behaviour management skills

· Support with Literacy and Numeracy

· Monitor pupil progress and providing guidance where needed

· Prepare the classroom and assisting the teacher with other duties
