Ortus Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant in the Merton area. We require someone with experience and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting primary aged children, someone planning to go on to train to be a teacher would be ideal for this role!

The Primary School is situated around fantastic commuting links and is renowned for being an exciting place to work. They are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for an immediate start.

The role:

· Teaching Assistant.

· Mainstream primary school.

· SEN support.

· Working across the Primary age range – EYFS, SEN, KS1 and KS2 (3-11 years old).

· ASAP start – long-term & full-time.

· £70-90 per day.

· Located in Merton.

The successful candidate would be working alongside a range of ability students, with a focus on raising attainment in core subjects. We are seeking a confident & proactive graduate who can hit the ground running, while working as part of a large team without constant guidance.

You will be required to work 1:1 across a class and with small groups both inside and outside the classroom. As such you must be flexible and academically capable.

Person Specification:

· Strong academic background – degree from a reputable university & good level of Maths & English.

· Proactive & confident.

· You must be able to work effectively as party of a large team.

· Commitment, reliability, and willingness to get stuck in is key.
