Ortus Recruitment are currently working with an ‘Outstanding’ Primary school in Merton who are currently looking to welcome a full-time Teaching Assistant into their excellent team of staff.

The school is situated around fantastic commuting links and has a vibrant, warm, welcoming feel in every corner of the school. Pupils are polite and eager to learn, and staff work hard together to ensure children achieve excellence across the primary curriculum.

The perfect candidate for this position would have previous experience working within a classroom setting, confident working on a 1:1/group basis, and willing to help plan and execute exciting lessons.

The ideal candidate:

• Previous experience working within a classroom setting/with children of the primary age range
• SEN experience (preferred)
• Dedicated and enthusiastic
• Degree educated/recent graduate
• Willing to help plan and carry out engaging lessons
• Clear written and spoken communicator

You must:

• Hold right to work in the UK
• Hold a fully enhanced DBS on the Update Service – if you do not possess a current DBS you will have to apply (we can help guide you through the process if necessary)
• Be available full-time
• Provide recent and relevant references
