The role:

• Position: Teaching Assistant
• Location: New Malden
• Full time – long term
• Immediate start
• 8:30am-4:00pm

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, helping them remain engaged and focused in the learning process. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of how to work with pupils with SEN, as well as a strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum. Excellent communication skills, the ability to build relationships quickly, and a proactive, reliable, and flexible approach are also essential.

Requirements:

• Have experience working alongside children in a care, residential, school or social setting
• Have experience leading 1:1 and small group interventions
• Be able to follow instructions given by the Class Teacher as well as being able to work off of your own initiative
• Be passionate about working alongside children and dedicated to helping them develop social, emotional and mental skills
• Be patient and resilient, as well as being able to think quick on your feet.
•  Have a strong academic background, educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant childcare qualification
