Ortus Recruitment are currently recruiting for a graduate with a Performing Arts or Drama degree, to join an excellent Primary School looking for an innovative Teaching Assist who can bring enthusiasm and entertainment to a classroom.

This Primary Teaching Assistant role will be based around group interventions, whole class support and 1:1 care for children who are struggling in specific areas. The role would particularly suit someone looking to become a teacher in the future.

A number of the staff at this school have backgrounds in the Performing Arts, and they have found this creates a wonderful atmosphere across the school with a genuinely upbeat and fun approach to learning and common mindset across the whole team. It’s also important that applicants have a passion for supporting children, so experience with children is important, but this is welcomed from and setting, and doesn’t have to be school based, E.g. Drama Workshops, Dance classes and Theatre Productions.

• Performing Arts Graduate
• Confident and capable across the Primary curriculum
• Strong written and spoken communicator
• Proactive & Reliable
• Experience with Children
• Comfortable working with SEN Children
