About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at a welcoming primary school in Sheffield. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning, development, and emotional well-being.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, helping to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and activities
• Support pupils across a range of subjects, with a focus on literacy and numeracy
• Provide targeted support to children with additional learning needs (including SEND)
• Foster a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers
• Help with classroom setup, resource preparation, and general admin tasks
• Supervise children during break and lunch times when required

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a primary school or educational setting is desirable
• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred
• A passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, flexibility, and a proactive attitude
• A current Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
