About the Role:

A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Croydon is seeking a proactive and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning, particularly those who may need additional help to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with SEN or EAL needs.
• Prepare learning materials and help create a stimulating classroom environment.
• Support pupils’ social and emotional development in line with school values.
• Supervise pupils during lunch and break times as required.
• Help track pupil progress and contribute to assessments.
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Previous experience working in a primary school setting is advantageous.
• A warm, enthusiastic, and reliable approach to supporting children.
• Good organisational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
