Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school in the Richmond borough and they are looking to recruit an enthusiastic teaching assistant to commit to a full time-long term. The ideal candidate will need prior experience working in school and be able to start immediately.

Responsibilities:

• Support the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom.
• Work with small groups of students to provide additional support and reinforcement of learning.
• Assist with classroom preparation and organization of learning materials.
• Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Help monitor and assess student progress.
• Participate in school events and activities as required.

Requirements:

• A passion for education and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred but not essential.
• A relevant qualification or willingness to undergo training (e.g., Teaching Assistant Level 2 or equivalent).
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
