Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support the learning and development of our pupils, ensuring they achieve their full potential in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in the delivery of engaging and effective lessons.
- Support individual and small groups of pupils with their learning activities.
- Help prepare classroom materials and resources.
- Provide additional support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
- Monitor and report on pupil progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Supervise pupils during break and lunchtime as needed.
- Contribute to the overall ethos and values of the school.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability.
- A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or willingness to work towards this qualification) is desirable.
