About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at a thriving primary school in Sheffield. Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning objectives
• Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources
• Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support pupils with additional needs, including those with SEND or EAL
• Monitor and record pupil progress under the guidance of the class teacher
• Supervise pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes, and on school outings
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers

Requirements

• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) – desirable
• Previous experience working in a primary school or educational setting – preferred
• GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• References required
