The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering high-quality learning and ensure that every child receives the support they need to reach their full potential. The role may involve working with individuals or small groups, including pupils with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Support individual pupils or small groups with learning tasks
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
- Support pupils with additional needs (SEN) as required
- Prepare resources and help with classroom organisation
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies
About You
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about education and child development.
Essential
- Experience working with children (school-based or other relevant settings)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
Desirable
- Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3)
- Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)
- First Aid or Safeguarding training
