Position Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced educators and make a positive impact on the lives of our students. You will support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons, ensuring that every student receives the assistance they need to excel academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in planning and preparing lessons and learning materials.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may need additional help.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere.
  • Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Support students with special needs in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to address students’ needs.
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma; a relevant teaching assistant qualification is a plus.
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with diverse students.
  • Knowledge of special educational needs and strategies to support students with varying abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
