Role Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our teachers and helping our students achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment, providing both academic and pastoral support to students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities.
• Support individual students or small groups with their learning, ensuring they understand the material and stay engaged.
• Help manage classroom behavior, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
• Provide additional support to students with special educational needs (SEN) as required.
• Assist with the supervision of students during break times and school outings.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and report any concerns to the teacher.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role is desirable.
• A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate, are an advantage.
• Basic understanding of child safeguarding and health & safety practices.
