This role is in an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ Primary School located in the heart of Southeast London, Grove Park. The Primary School are looking for a candidate to step into the role and hit the ground running in an exciting new role.

The Job Role:

• Position: Unqualified Learning Support Assistant
• Pay: £80 – £95 per day, £400 – £475 per week, PAYE
• Location: Lewisham, Grove park
• Role: Full time, Long term (Mon – Fri, 08:30 – 16:00)

The Main Responsibilities:

• Working alongside the class teacher supporting a year 3 class who need extra support raising attainment levels
• Leading 1:1 and small group interventions on core subjects (English, Math, Reading, Phonics)
• Supporting pupils with a range of activities and tasks to help them develop emotional and social skills.
• Undertaking administrative tasks for the class teacher such as assisting with marking work/homework and photocopying and laminating work.
• Being comfortable working 1:1 and in small groups to help maintain current attainment levels
• Supervising pupils in class and around the school building (Lunch hall and playground)

The successful individual will:

• Will have a strong academic background, educated to degree level or equivalent
• Be passionate about working alongside children and dedicated to helping them have the best future possible
• Have experience and be confident working 1:1 or in small groups
• Be able to manage behaviour effectively
• Be assertive, patient and motivating
• Have an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment, £52)
