Ortus Recruitment is supporting a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in the heart of Lambeth that is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Unqualified Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both staff and pupils across the school. Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs
• Supporting small group interventions for targeted learners
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
• Helping to create an engaging, positive learning environment
• Contributing to the academic and emotional progress of the children you support

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
• A genuine interest in supporting children’s learning and development
• Reliable, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude
• Experience working with young people in any setting (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, volunteering, childcare)
• A long-term commitment to the school and its pupils

Desirable but not essential:

• Aspirations to go into teaching or education in the future
• Previous experience supporting children with SEN
