A fantastic mainstream Primary school located in Bush Hill, Enfield, is seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to support children aged 4 to 6. This inclusive community celebrates diversity and is dedicated to assisting children with a variety of needs, including global development delay, autism, and severe/complex learning difficulties.

This role primarily involves 1:1 support for pupils with mild learning difficulties, often within the Autism Spectrum. The school is celebrated for its inclusivity and warmth, so you must bring energy, compassion, and enthusiasm to provide the best support for every child. Recent growth includes expanded capacity and new state-of-the-art facilities, such as an all-weather field and a drama studio. Key responsibilities include speech and development support, classroom participation, and managing behavioral needs.

Location: Bush Hill, Enfield
Employment Type: Full-time Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Salary: £425 – £525 PAYE (No umbrella) per week. Depending on experience

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant should:

• Have experience or passion for working with children with SEN
• Be flexible, proactive and patient
• Be nurturing and caring in your approaches
• Be able to communicate effectively within a team
• Be open to providing personal care
• Have a Background in Education, Care, Psychology or Drama, as these are very transferable.
• Training or experience in non-verbal communication is preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential. For example Makaton, PECS
