Job Summary:

• Pay: £80 – £90 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Role: Full time, Long term – Monday – Friday (08:30 – 16:00)

Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking an unqualified Teaching Assistant to join one of our Mainstream Primary Schools on a full time, long term basis. This role is a September start position and is Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:00.

Requirements:

• You must have a ‘Can do’ attitude
• You must have a strong academic background, educated to degree level or equivalent. Must have minimum grade C in GCSE English and Math.
• You must be able to start immediately and commit to full time, long term work
• You must be able to easily build a positive rapport with both students and staff
• You must be passionate about working alongside children an dedicated to aiding their academic development
• YOU MUST HAVE TWO OBTAINABLE CHILDCARE RELEVANT REFERENCES
• YOU MUST HAVE A CLEAR ENHANCED CHILD WORKFORCE DBS ON THE UPDATE SERVICE OR BE WILLING TO PROCESS ONE THROUGH ORTUS RECRUITMENT – £52

Main Responsibilities:

• You will be required to assist the Class Teacher in supporting a mainstream Year 5 class
• You will be responsible for helping the Class Teacher prepare and hand out classwork for pupils
• You may be required to undertake administrative duties such as updating/changing display boards, marking classwork/homework and providing feedback to the Parents/Carers about the pupils academic and behavioural progress
• You may be asked to work 1:1 and/or lead small reading/phonic intervention groups
