Year 1+ Teaching Assistant
📍 Location: Brockley, London Borough of Lewisham
💼 Contract: Full-time | Long-term | Monday to Friday (8:30am – 4:00pm)
💰 Pay: £89 – £105 per day (depending on experience)

✨ About the Role
Join a friendly, vibrant, and inclusive mainstream primary school in the heart of Brockley, where you’ll be supporting pupils in Year 1 and above. If you’re enthusiastic about education and want to make a lasting impact on children’s learning and development, this role is for you.
We’re looking for a patient, dependable, and proactive Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children academically, socially, and emotionally—especially those with additional needs.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
✔️ Provide in-classroom support to the teacher during lessons
✔️ Work 1:1 and in small groups to guide student learning
✔️ Assist children with tasks, homework, and classroom activities
✔️ Prepare and tidy classroom resources throughout the school day
✔️ Promote students’ wellbeing: physical, emotional, and social
✔️ Communicate clearly with staff, parents, and children
✔️ Help support SEN pupils through personalised interventions
✔️ Participate in admin duties such as filing, printing, and resource prep
✔️ Assist with after-school clubs and extra activities when needed
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with KS1 and KS2 children
- Confident supporting SEN pupils in both 1:1 and group settings
- Ability to adapt to different student needs and behaviours
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative, nurturing and resilient attitude
- Previous classroom-based experience preferred
