Ortus Recruitment is currently working closely with a passionate headteacher from a fantastic, Ofsted rated ‘Good’ primary school, who is keen to ensure the pupils are supported to the best of their ability and is looking to appoint a confident and hardworking SEN TA to support a Year 3 class.

The Year 3 SEN Teaching Assistant role will involve:

• Supporting the class Teacher in a general capacity within the class (32 children – The class are a very low performing cohort with a lot of SEND)
• Work alongside the lower KS2 team to plan and prepare engaging, fun sessions for small groups of learners that need additional support

The SEN Teaching Assistant role is full time, 5 days week and immediate start.

To be considered for the Year 3 SEN Teaching Assistant role you must:

• Have previous experience working with children in a primary school setting (or have general professional experience working with children)
• Have previous experience working with SEN or challenging behaviour
• Be a team player – this role requires someone who works well with teachers, pupils and parents.
• Demonstrate commitment, dedication and resilience in your previous childcare work.
• Have a level 3 qualification / relevant degree i.e., Psychology
